President of the Advisory Board
Combines leadership experience from Austrian public broadcasting, politics and international media groups.
Born in Budapest in 1953 and raised in Austria, Andreas Rudas worked at the Austrian public broadcaster ORF from 1986 to 1997, first as a presenter and later as Secretary General. He then served as federal managing director of the Austrian Social Democratic Party before taking on leadership roles at automotive supplier Magna from 2000. In 2005 he moved to WAZ Media Group and in 2009 was appointed to the Executive Committee of RTL Group.
Andreas Rudas is a deeply informed observer of the European communications landscape. His career unites leadership experience in politics, business and media. With his analytical eye and his grasp of complex decision-making processes, he advises Public Interest clients on core strategic questions at the highest level.

Vice President of the Advisory Board
Change management, positioning strategy and public affairs, drawn from banking, interest representation and aviation.
Christian Domany has been a Senior Advisor at Public Interest since 2010. His particular expertise lies in change management, positioning strategy and public affairs. A business graduate, he began his career at Creditanstalt Bankverein before spending many years in interest representation and the private sector.
Among other roles he served as deputy Secretary General of the Federation of Austrian Industries, Secretary General of the Austrian Savings Banks Association and of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, before joining Vienna Airport as board member for finance, human resources and non-aviation. He is the long-standing chair of the aviation section of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and sits on the presidiums of Kuratorium Sicheres Österreich, Quality Austria and the Austrian Society of Traffic and Transport Sciences. He is also President of Hilfswerk International and Vice President of the Austrian Disabled Sports Federation.

Marcus Grausam, formerly CEO of A1 Telekom Austria, brings to Public Interest Consultants his long experience at the helm of Austria’s largest technology company, strengthening the advisory team with his expertise in digitalisation, transformation and the strategic positioning of companies.

Senior Advisor & Board Member
International energy expert with senior roles at Verbund, Berliner Stadtreinigung and Wiener Stadtwerke.
Born in 1960, Gerhard Gamperl studied land and water management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He began his career at ABB and at the waste management company A.S.A. In the early 2000s he was managing director of Wiener Stadtwerke-Beteiligungsmanagement GmbH. At the end of 2003 the supervisory board of Berliner Stadtreinigung appointed him CEO, a role he held until 2006.
After returning to Austria, Gamperl joined Verbund AG, where for many years he headed strategy, corporate development, innovation and sustainability. He serves on bodies in the energy and environmental sector and supports the advisory team with his international energy expertise.

Senior Advisor & Board Member
Represented the interests of Austria’s banks and insurers for more than a decade.
Born in 1960, Franz Rudorfer studied law at Johannes Kepler University Linz, where he started out as a research assistant. After his judicial clerkship at the Linz Higher Regional Court he joined the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in 1987, holding several roles in its banking and insurance division. In 2013 he became managing director of the federal division for banking and insurance.
Alongside his work at the Economic Chamber, Rudorfer chaired the supervisory board of Einlagensicherung Austria GmbH, served as vice president of the Austrian Fiscal Advisory Council and was a co-opted member of the supervisory board of the Financial Market Authority. He has supported the Public Interest advisory team since the beginning of 2026.
